Cupcake Garland

My sister and I recently went to Houston for some Wedding ideas. No, no, I'm not get married. My sweet roommate is. We met up with her in College Station and continued on to Houston to the nearest Paper Source . And there we found the perfect book!

This book is full of fabulous, cute, and simple DIY ideas. 

They are great for weddings or any party really! 

One of the ideas is this Cupcake garland! I have so many cupcake liners that I don't think I'll ever be able to use them all! So when I saw this I was quite excited! Plus, ever get sad that when you use cupcake liners they don't turn out as bright as they were before baking? Well this allows you to showcase the cutest cupcake liners that you love. 

I used Baker's Twine to string the units together. Baker's Twine is definitely one of my favorite materials. You can find it online on Etsy.com and other sites also for great prices. 

This craft is quick and easy. And of course adds whimsy to any party!

Pom Pom Party!

Here's a fun adorable craft you can do any day, and use to decorate for a party or just for fun! I thought they were so fun, I tried it for myself! Here's what you'll need:
- 8+ sheets of tissue paper
-Chicken wire, (or thick string will do too)
-Scissors


Step 1: Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. The more tissue sheets you use the fuller and more CrAZy fun they'll be! (I cut up the tissue paper into different size rectangles to make different size pom poms.) Next, make 1 1/2-inch-wide accordion folds, creasing with each fold.


Step 2: Now fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire (or string) in half, and slip over the center of the folded tissue and twist (or with string tie secure knot). With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes.


Step 3: Separate the layers, pulling away from the center one at a time.

Step 4: Woohooo! Cool huh!? Party time!


For more Pom Pom fun, try layering the tissue paper with different colors! If you want it to be a full 360 degree Pom Pom tie two of these together on the back, and hang them for adorable creations that your friends will goggle over, especially when they hear that you made them! Hope you have fun!
