Cream Puff Party!

These yummy treats were super easy to make! In fact you could make them in less than an hour! And the ingredients are simple too! I had been in the mood to make some sweet sugar cookies so I could have some fun decorating, but my little brother suggested we make his favorite treat, Cream Puffs!

I've never made them before so I was a little hesitant, but I thought why not!? So I was shocked to see how simple it is to make such delicious puffs! Here is the simple recipe!

Ingredients for Puff Pastry:
1 cup water
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs

Directions:
Step 1- Heat oven to 400ºF. In a saucepan, heat water and butter to rolling boil. Stir in flour; reduce heat to low. Stir vigorously over low heat about 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball; remove from heat. Beat in eggs, all at once; continue beating until smooth.
Step 2- On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by slightly less than 1/4 cupfuls about 3 inches apart. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until puffed and golden. Cool away from draft, about 30 minutes.
Now we chose to go a more simple way with the cream part and just got a Whip Cream spray can at the grocery store. We cut a hole in the top of the pastry and insert the tip of the whip cream and squirt it into the pastry. It fills up the hollow space inside, but be careful because it does overflow if you put too much! And to top it all off we drizzled Hershey's Chocolate Syrupall over them! OH and don't forget the powdered sugar! Joe helped with the whole process also. ☺

These Cream Puffs are an easy quick make, and perfect for parties as you can make them as tiny or as big as you want. They are great bite size treats for any get-together. Hope you try them and enjoy them as much as my family did!
